Standard Chartered agreed a four-year deal for the bank to become the Liverpool FC's main sponsor. Which at the time was the largest commercial agreement in Liverpool’s history with an estimated amount of £105M.
Over those 10 years Standard Chartered worked hand in hand with Liverpool FC's, partnership, creative and marketing teams devising campaigns and projects to help communities and people around the world through the power of inclusion and opportunity.
Stand Red - 10 Years of Sponsorship
To celebrate Standard Chartered Bank’s 10 years as Liverpool Football Club’s main sponsor, we made a film paying homage to the club’s diehard fan base. The score was a new rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” the club’s signature anthem.
The overarching campaigning around the video was the 'Stand Red' with SC brand being proud to Stand Red for 10 years.
I played an integral in the creation of a highly successful campaign during Liverpool Football Club's 2019-20 Premier League title-winning season. My role as Executive Art Director involved not only overseeing the creative direction but also ensuring that all video and track mapping content fitted seamlessly into various elements like eyes and TVs, creating a visually cohesive and engaging experience.
I Working closely with the LFC creative team and TBWA Singapore, I contributed to a campaign that resonated globally, evidenced by its nearly 60 million views within the first month.
10 Years Together - A Truly Great Partnership
Standard Chartered commisioned a video to represent the partnership between themselves and LFC celebrating all the positive work that they had accomplished together. This was used as part of many presentations and shared across global social media channels ultimately driving them to sponsor LFC for many more years to 2028 and possibly beyond.
The video turned out to be a huge success for Standard Chartered reflecting on what they had achieved sponsoring LFC and what they hoped to achieve working with them in the future.

Cricket is the most popular sport in the region so the idea to bring LFC together with the number 1 sport helped to drive interaction and interest. Utilising the pull of famous Liverpool FC stars Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, and new signing Dominic Solanke
Standard Chartered was the main sponsor and promoter of this tour, helping create awareness of their brand alongside the likes of Western Union, Malaysia Airlines, Joie & PES 2018.
New Balance also had product placement in the promotion with their cricket equipment and clothing shown throughout the video.
